Botox Alternative - Extraordinary Matrixyl

Save money and diminish wrinkles without injections! Few topical creams contain this remarkable skin rejuvenating ingredient. Recently, some new topical creams have come out on the market that can help dramatically diminish wrinkles by 68% in just months. Perfect RX Beyond Essential Day Lotion and Night Serum are an amazing combination that contain 8% Matrixyl. Rilastyl is also another top seller that contains 4%Matrixyl. Matrixyl has been clinically proven to stimulte collagen production by 327% and stimulate hyaluronic production by 257%. As we age both collagen and hyaluronic production slows down causing wrinkles and dry, sagging skin. When collagen and hyaluronic production are stimulated, your skin becomes more firm, smooth, hydrated and youthful-looking. Hair Loss Facts

Balding, thinning and receding hairline genes can be inherited from either side of one's family. Generally, the majority of men experience falling hair, receding hairlines and thinning or balding in the crown of the scalp. Women often experience thinning and falling hair as a result of hormonal changes. DHT (Dihydrotestosterone) is the major cause of baldness, receding and thinning hair. In men, genetically primed follicles produce 5-alpha reductase which converts testosterone to DHT. As women produce less estrogen, testosterone production increases. DHT causes the follicles to reduce in size, thus causing weaker, thinning hair. As hair becomes thinner, it also begins to fall out. Excessive oils (sebum) in the scalp also contribute to hair loss. These oils clog the pores of the scalp, prevent proper circulation and prevent follicles from being nourished, resulting in hair loss, receding hair line and balding. A diet rich in animal fat may also contribute to hair loss.

Reduce Hair Loss in Just Weeks

There are hundreds of costly, ineffective and chemical-laden hair products on the market that claim to regrow hair. In fact most of these products simply grow baby fine lenugo hair and can cost from $85 up to $4000. Individuals must also continue to use these products to prevent further loss.

A California doctor of internal medicine has formulated an affordable hair system containing many natural marine nutrients and vitamins that can help thicken hair and help reduce thinning and receding hair. Her hair formulations (WEL/Hairworks Vitalizing Shampoo and Scalp Stimulator) help nourish the scalp and accelerate follicular growth by delivering nutrients directly to the areas that need it. Reduced hair loss is noticeable within three to four weeks. Pores become unclogged and hair becomes thicker, stronger, longer, healthier and more manageable within two to three months. Simply wash hair daily with WEL/Hairworks Vitalizing Shampoo and apply Scalp Stimulator to scalp following shampoo. Massage into scalp for two minutes. You may also want to massage the WEL/Hairworks Scalp Stimulator into scalp at night for about 10 to 15 minutes. Some individuals report that this additional nightly massage has resulted in thicker hair in just weeks. A diet rich in healthy foods including fish, hormone-free, low-fat meats and poultry, reducing red meat consumption, eating low-glycemic fruits, antioxidant-rich vegetables, complex carbohydrates, taking Vitamin B Complex, Vitamin E, Lecithin, prenatal vitamins or silica gel are known to also help promote hair growth. Check with your doctor before taking supplements. For testimonials, unretouched photos or to order these products click

Great News! -- "Melt" Cellulite with non-Invasive Ultrasonic & Endermology Combo

Over 90% of women over the age of 25 are confronted with cellulite. As we age, collagen fibers under the skin and around fat cells become trapped with lymphatic fluids and toxins. As years go by estrogen decreases, causing connective tissue (collagen fibers) to weaken. Wearing regular panties promotes poor circulation, blocks lymphatic drainage, causes fluids, toxins and fat to build up forcing their way through the weakened connective tissue. This is called fat herniation and creates the look of dimpled 'cottage cheese' skin. Wearing a thong can help slow down the appearance of cellulite.

For stubborn cases of cellulite or if you want to achieve inch loss, "melt" fat or achieve smoother-looking thighs, buttocks, tummy or arms, consider an "ultrasonic" treatment in conjunction with Endermology® (called vacuum massage)(see more on endermology below). Another similar treatment called Dermosonic® can also help reduce the appearance of cellulite. The combination of ultrasonic and suction is one of the most recent and effective methods for reducing and smoothing localized fat. NOTE: This particular form of ultrasonic ultrasound differs from the one used to see a baby in the womb or those used in physiotherapy. The physiotherapy units use warm heat waves that penetrate down to the bone. The "fat-melting, cellulite-reducing" ultrasonic wavelengths penetrate warm heat waves to the subcutaneous layer of fat only. Ultrasonic can help smooth the skin by softening or breaking up the fatty deposits, promotes lymphatic drainage and releases hardened connective tissue. It's also highly recommended both before and after liposuction. Look for salons that offer Dermosonic ® or Ultrasonic in conjunction with Endermology®. Another ultrasound system that reaches the subcutaneous fat layer is the Sonotherp 990.

Endermology® Update

Endermology® is a non-surgical, non-invasive treatment that uses a suction and rolling motion as it glides over skin. The suction and massaging action basically ruptures fat cells and works at the blood level of the skin, draining the lymphatic system and can help prevent or reduce the appearance of cellulite. It mobilizes the skin and massages the various levels of tissue down to the muscle. Endermologie can help break up scar tissue under the skin, which can improve results after liposuction or plastic surgery. It's FDA approved for reducing cellulite and requires about 25 - 30 sessions and then a monthly maintenance session is needed. Sessions cost from $75 to $125 each. Combined with ultrasonic as noted above, better results may be had.

Find salons offering Endermology and Ultrasound or "Dermosonic" on google search engine.

Vela Treatment for Cellulite

Combining Radio Frequency, Infrared Light and suction has been reported to help banish cellulite. Originating in Canada, this non-invasive and fairly affordable treatment is now available in the United States and it's getting rave reviews. Many women see results after 6 to 8 treatments, however 10 to 12 are recommended. Then a maintenance treatment every six weeks is recommended. See a list of resources for Vela in the Cellulite section of my new 3rd edition book of Hollywood Beauty Secrets: Remedies to the Rescue.

Mesotherapy for Pain

For pain, mesotherapy can effectively treat musculoskeletal problems including tendonitis, arthritis, sprains, muscle strain, spinal disorders and back pain. The benefit of mesotherapy for treating pain, is that patients no longer need to rely on high doses of daily pain pills which can eventually lead to liver and kidney damage. Mesotherapy involves the delivery of small amounts of FDA approved medications (non-cortisone, non-steroid) via local injections instead of ingesting or injecting intramuscularly or intravenously much larger dosages of medications, which are filtered in the liver and kidney and travel throughout one's body. This method of pain control also appears to be more cost-effective. Sessions are a week apart for two to four weeks then bi-weekly for a month along with adjunctive physical therapy. Mesotherapy treats pain so effectively, many patients experience pain relief immediately or withiin two or three days. Some people may need maintenance therapy several times a year. The injections are virtually painless compared to trigger point injections or Prolo therapy, for example. Our source, a Southern California Doctor of Internal Medicine trained in Paris with Dr. Jaques Le Coz, a pioneer and former President of the French Society of Mesotherapy. She uses FDA-approved, non-cortisone, non-steroid, anti-inflammatory medications to treat pain. Mesotherapy, of course, is not a "be-all, end-all" solution. Patients also require physical therapy to rehabilitate and strengthen their muscles and joints.

Side effects: swelling or bruising can occur approximately three to twelve days after treatment. Taking Arnica and bromelain (available at your local health food store) three days before treatment can help reduce swelling and bruising.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy - The Multi-Purpose Healer

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy has existed for over 50 years. In Japan every hospital is equipped with a hyperbaric oxygen chamber. Over 3000 hyperbaric oxygen chambers exist in China. It is now very slowly evolving into mainstream medicine in the United States. There are approximately 400 hyperbaric chambers in the United States.

What is Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBO) used for?
Many athletes, professional football, hockey and basketball players use HBO therapy to speed-heal injuries and muscle strain, quickly repair broken bones, heal wounds, burns and increase endurance. Oxygen therapy can also help fight infections, relieve fibromyalgia, Epstein-Barr, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, AIDS, reduce inflammation, fight flesh-eating disease, gangrene, heal diabetic wounds. It's also been linked to treating thousands of cases of MS in the U.K. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is especially benefical immediately following a stroke, or drowning, as it can prevent further damage to surrounding tissue, facilitating a quicker recovery period.

How does HBO work?

Oxygen is the basis of life and is key to keeping the immune system healthy. It has long been an accepted fact that healing cannot be achieved without sufficient oxygen levels in the tissues and at the cellular level where most illnesses and injuries occur. Breathing pure or 100% oxygen under increased pressure, the body's natural ability to heal from injuries, diseases and other afflictions is enhanced. In many cases, the healing process is accelerated. All injuries are associated with hypoxia (the lack of oxygen) at the cellular level. It is at this cellular tissue level that all life takes place.
The air we normally breathe contains only 19-21% of oxygen, this essential element. During hyperbaric oxygen therapy, the concentration of pure oxygen dissolved into the bloodstream is dramatically increased---up to 20 times. All body fluids - including blood, the vital lymph and cerebrospinal fluids - are infused with the healing benefits of molecular oxygen as it triggers a cascade of events via Nitric Oxide (as just one of its many as yet to be discovered mechanisms) to reduce inflammation, edema and increase production both new capillaries and of the body's own growth factors that enhance healing.
Oxygen helps fight infections and helps the body heal itself very quickly. HBO involves breathing 100 percent oxygen while in a pressurized chamber. As the pressure increases in the chamber, more oxygen gets into the blood. The patient must swallow or yawn to equalize or clear ears and sinuses when pressure is initially introduced, which can take approximately 7 to 15 minutes. The patient may rest, watch a movie, or listen to music during the treatment which can last about 90 minutes.
